Software Engineer & Cybersecurity Practitioner

I build software. I break things. I secure them.

I'm Chethan, a software engineer and cybersecurity practitioner focused on building secure, scalable digital products and understanding how systems fail.

My work sits at the intersection of software engineering and cybersecurity. I enjoy taking products from architecture to deployment, while also thinking adversarially about how applications, infrastructure, and APIs can be attacked and hardened.

Over the past few years, I've worked across full-stack development, cloud infrastructure, security tooling, automation, vulnerability research, and CTFs. I'm particularly interested in application security, offensive security, cloud security, and security engineering.

Security isn't something I add after building a system. It's part of how I think about building one.

Understanding both development and security gives me two perspectives on the same system: how it should work, and how it could fail.

The journey so far.

Early Days

Started programming and web development

Getting Real

Began freelancing and building real-world projects

Turning Point

Moved deeper into cybersecurity and offensive security

Competing

Started participating in CTFs and security challenges

1st Place

Won 1st place in a 48-hour CBIT CTF

Certified

Earned TryHackMe SEC1 certification with 600/700

Now

Currently building software and security-focused projects while developing deeper security engineering skills

When I'm not behind a terminal.

You'll probably find me playing chess, listening to old Hindi music, exploring new technology, attending developer and security communities, or experimenting with another idea that probably started as "what if I build this?"

Building something interesting?

I'm always interested in ambitious engineering, cybersecurity, open-source, and research opportunities.
